Notable players entering the transfer portal were Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman, Washington State QB Gunner Cruz, Oregon RB Cyrus Habibi-Likio, and Eastern Michigan WR Quian Williams.

Announcing they would return next season included North Texas RB DeAndre Torrey, Boston College RB Travis Levy, Oregon RB CJ Verdell and and Oregon WR Johnny Johnson.

Announcing transfer destinations were WR KD Nixon (Colorado to USC), and WR/RB Jafar Armstrong (Notre Dame to Illinois), QB Gunner Cruz (Washington State to Arizona) and WR Ma’jon Wright (Arizona to MTSU).

In injury updates, Manny Bates (NC State) is questionable for Saturday, while South Carolina’s Alanzo Frink & Jalyn McCreary remain out. Darius Perry (UCF) was officially cleared and will play Saturday, while for Florida Colin Castleton is a GTD and Scottie Lewis sounds questionable in protocols. Andre Gustavson (Richmond) is a gametime decision Saturday, Justin Powell (Auburn) remains in concussion protocol, Christian Brown (Georgia) is hopeful to play Saturday, and Greg Williams‘ (St John’s) status for Saturday is unclear.

On Thursday Ziaire Williams & Daejon Davis were reportedly going to be out for Stanford before their game was postponed. Trey Galloway (Indiana) did not play due to a back issue and Bryce Hamilton (UNLV, 20.3 ppg) did not play with an ankle injury. Myles Dread (Penn State) did not play after an apparent shoulder injury last game, and Matt Bradley (Cal) warmed up but sat out again.

Returning to action after missing time were Damion Baugh (Memphis), Jalen Graham (Arizona State) and DJ Rodman (Washington State). Craig Porter & Clarence Jackson (Wichita State) also played after dealing with injuries.

In in-game injuries, Richard Washington (San Jose State, 22.2 ppg) left in the first half after taking a shot to the head and did not appear to return. DeAndre Williams (Memphis) left the game in the 2nd half with a towel over his face but in postgame was said to be fine (no concussion, nothing broken) after taking an elbow to the nose. CJ Fredrick (Iowa) started as he deals with a lower leg injury, but the team announced at halftime that he would not return to the game. Richard Harward (BYU) left the game with an apparent left hand injury but returned to the game. Mikael Jantunen (Utah) was already wearing a mask for a previous injury and took a shot to the head in the second half and was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

For injury updates, Jalen Terry will play for Oregon Saturday, but Chris Duarte and LJ Figueroa will be out due to covid protocols, also for Oregon, Will Richardson is not ready to return. Nijel Pack (Kansas State) is doubtful Saturday, but Darius Perry (UCF) should be able to play. CJ Walker (Ohio State) may be able to return Saturday.

On Wednesday the biggest news was that Marcus Zegarowski (Creighton) returned to action, also returning were Dallas Walton (Colorado), Chris Moore (Auburn), and Emmanuel Akot (Boise State).

Jared Bynum (Providence) warmed up but did not play again. Remaining out were Maceo Austin (Duquesne), Terrence Clarke (Kentucky), Justin Powell (Auburn) and Ryan Daly (St Joe’s). Several reserves were unexpected scratches including Christian Brown (Georgia), Khalid Moore (Georgia Tech), and Jacob Epperson (Creighton).

In injury updates, Jalen Graham (Arizona State) is hopeful to play Thursday while teammate Taeshon Cherry remains out. DJ Rodman & Ryan Rapp (Washington State) sound unlikely to play Thursday, but CJ Fredrick (Iowa) should be good to go. Matt Bradley (Cal) is not expected to return Thursday, and Zane Meeks (Nevada) is likely a gametime decision on Friday. Kerr Kriisa (who is not yet eligible for Arizona) has been out after suffering a concussion.

Suffering apparent injuries on Tuesday were Myles Dread (Penn State) with a possible shoulder injury in the first half that he did not return from. De’Vion Harmon (Oklahoma) left the game in the second half with what appeared to be a right lower body injury but was revealed in postgame to just be intense cramps. Eric Dixon (Villanova) only played two minutes early then appeared to receive treatment with a device on his leg as he has been dealing with an Achilles injury.

Transfer Updates from Jan 18:

• Ahmad Rand, Memphis – will transfer to Oregon State

On Sunday Damion Baugh sat out for Memphis in concussion protocol, Anthony Holland (Fresno State) was out due to concussion protocol, and Zane Meeks (Nevada) was out due to a knee injury. Jamison Battle (George Washington) sat out again but Ty Perry returned to action for Fordham, and Carter Whitt returned for Wake Forest.

In injury updates, James Bouknight (UConn) is expected to be out with his elbow injury for around 4 weeks, Maceo Austin (Duquesne) has returned to the team after a personal leave of absence. Bryce Thompson (Kansas) reports he had successful surgery on his finger.
