CFB Player Updates – Week of February 15-21

More notable players entering the transfer portal were Miami QB N’Kosi Perry, Michigan QB Joe Milton, App State RB Raykwon Anderson, UMass WR Samuel Emilus, and Oklahoma WR Trevon West.

Announcing transfer destinations were WR Bryan Thompson (Utah to Arizona State), and TE Aaron Jarman (Temple to East Carolina).

Declaring for the NFL Draft was Air Force QB Donald Hammond.

Announcing they would return next season were UTSA teammates RB BJ Daniels and TE Leroy Watson.

In injury & other updates, Rutgers QB Noah Vedral hopes to be full-go for spring practice, Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell will be limited this spring after foot surgery, South Alabama RB Carlos Davis was suspended indefinitely after an arrest for drug-related charges, New Mexico State RB O’Maury Samuels is dealing with an injury and did not dress for Feb 21 game, and Liberty WR CJ Yarbrough has opted out of spring practice and is reportedly no longer with the team.

Announcing transfer destinations were RB Alec Sinkfield (West Virginia to Boston College), WR Tre’von Morgan (Michigan State to Kentucky), and WR Greg White (North Texas to Grambling).

More notable players entering the transfer portal were Boston College RB David Bailey, Oregon QB Tyler Shough and Washington State WR Jamire Calvin.

Announcing they would return next season were Georgia WR Demetris Robertson, while SMU WR Tyler Page & TE Judah Bell will not return to the team next season.

In injury & other updates, Washington State QB Jayden de Laura was suspended indefinitely for a DUI arrest, and Virginia Tech WR Jaden Payoute should be ready for the fall.

Utah WR Jaylen Dixon withdrew from the transfer portal. RB La’Damian Webb committed to Troy in December but is now reported to no longer be with the program. RB Ricky Slade, who transferred from Penn State to Old Dominion, is no longer on the ODU roster.

Announcing they would return next season were WR Danny Davis (Wisconsin) and WR Rick Wells (Florida).

In injury updates, BYU QB Jaren Hall reports he is fully healthy. Kansas State QB Skylar Thompson hopes to be full-go by around May as he recovers from surgery, while teammate WR Chabastin Taylor will miss spring ball. Utah QB Cameron Rising will miss spring ball, but Miami RB Jaylan Knighton will be ready by mid-March, and Colorado RB Alex Fontenot will be full-go for spring practice.
